Medical Receptionist – Hocking Medical Centre (4 Days per Week)

Hocking Medical Centre is on the lookout for a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team.

About Us

We’re a busy, well-established medical centre with a dedicated team of GPs, Nurses, and Allied Health professionals. At Hocking, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both patients and staff.

With an amazing Receptionist already on our team, we’re now seeking another superstar to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our practice.

Hours

This position is part-time, 4 days per week:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday
  • 8:00am – 5:00pm
    Please note: hours are fixed and non-negotiable.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days will ever be the same! Your role will include:

  • Greeting patients and delivering a warm front-of-house experience
  • Managing phone calls, enquiries, and appointment bookings
  • Processing payments and Medicare billings
  • Maintaining a tidy and professional reception/waiting area
  • Faxing, scanning, filing, mailing, and general administrative tasks
  • Ordering supplies and supporting daily practice operations
  • Handling banking and reconciling records
  • Protecting patient confidentiality and following clinic procedures

What We’re Looking For

  • Friendly & patient-focused – a welcoming presence for every patient
  • Organised & detail-oriented – with strong multitasking skills
  • Tech-savvy – confident with computers (Best Practice knowledge highly regarded)
  • A team player – proactive, reliable, and supportive of colleagues
  • Experienced – previous medical reception or General Practice experience preferred
  • Committed – with full Australian working rights and your own reliable transport
